As the University approaches its 35th anniversary, the event marks the beginning of a new chapter.
In a rapidly evolving higher education landscape, strengthening leadership and defining a clear educational philosophy provide the foundation for advancing academic quality, fostering innovation, and building a modern, human-centered learning environment.
Strengthening the leadership structure
To ensure alignment with its new educational philosophy and university model, Hoa Sen University (HSU) is strengthening and specializing the executive roles within the President’s Board. The structure enables a clearer distinction between academic leadership and operational management, contributing to greater organizational effectiveness and a higher-quality learning experience.
Particularly, Dr. Le Van Ut assumes the role of Vice President for scientific activities and international academic rankings. Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Huyen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Finance and Investment, while Mr. Doan Ngoc Duy, MA, serves as Chief Executive Officer for Brand Strategy and Digital Transformation.

Within the University’s academic and administrative operations, Mrs. To Thi Anh Nguyen, MA, has been appointed Head of the Office of Quality Assurance; Mrs. Vo Hong Hanh, MA, as Director of the Library; and Mr. Tran Do Thoai Nhan as Deputy Head of the Office of Marketing – Communications.

Strengthening leadership in these critical areas empowers the University to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and cultivate a modern, fully integrated educational ecosystem.
Learner-centered educational philosophy
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, HSU President, unveiled the University’s governance structure and strategic development vision for the 2026 – 2030 period.

HSU’s educational philosophy and development strategy operate on three levels. The first level establishes the University’s foundational philosophy, anchored by three core values:
- Human-centric: Nurturing character and holistic human development;
- Self-directed: Encouraging learners to assume responsibility for their own growth; and,
- Utility-oriented: Applying experiential learning to generate practical, real-world value.
This philosophy underlies all training programs, placing learners at the center of the educational process and enabling them to translate knowledge into meaningful contributions for personal development and societal progress.
A liberal, applied, innovative, and smart university model
Building on its educational philosophy, HSU seeks to develop a university model defined by four key attributes: liberal, applied, innovative, and smart.
- A liberal spirit that broadens perspectives and cultivates critical thinking;
- Applied training that connects academic knowledge with professional practice;
- An innovation ecosystem that advances research, creativity, and entrepreneurship; and,
- A smart university model driven by modern governance and digital transformation.

These strategic orientations create new opportunities for HSU’s growth within the rapidly evolving global higher education environment.
A management system based on three strategic developments
To support its new educational philosophy and university model, HSU has developed a governance and operational system structured around three strategic pillars:
- Academic and Research: Elevating training quality, strengthening academic capacity, and expanding international scientific publications.
- Learner Development and Experience: Enhancing the student journey through a comprehensive learning ecosystem that nurtures personal growth and professional readiness.
- Operations Management and Digital Transformation: Modernizing institutional governance and applying digital technologies to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainable development.
- This system allows HSU to develop a flexible ecosystem that can respond swiftly to changes in the education landscape and the evolving needs of the labor market.

A strategic vision for the future
With a clarified educational philosophy, sharpened strategic focus, and strengthened leadership, HSU is transforming into a modern learning environment where students not only gain knowledge but also develop character, creativity, and the ability to contribute lasting value to society.
