Fashion Design students honored with the “Best Creativity Prize” at Pierre Cardin Fashion Show 2025

On the evening of December 1, 2025, at the Pierre Cardin Fashion Show 2025, the iconic catwalk of the renowned fashion label Pierre Cardin, Ms. Phan Nguyen Hoai Thuong, a Fashion Design student at Hoa Sen University, was honored with the “Best Creativity Prize” – Outstanding Creativity award. This achievement marks a significant milestone for HSU students on the international fashion map and reaffirms the strength of HSU’s practical, creative, industry-oriented Fashion Design training.

Top 32 nationwide and the 9-hour journey of continuous creativity

On November 29, 2025, three talented Fashion Design students from Hoa Sen University (HSU), Ms. Phan Nguyen Hoai Thuong, Ms. Nguyen Lan Anh, and Ms. Le Ngoc Ha, participated in a nine-hour design challenge to envision future fashion concepts in the final round of the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award 2025. They skillfully developed ideas and presented modern aesthetics through professional sketching and illustration techniques.

Thanks to her clear idea development, consistent creative direction, and strong personal design identity, Hoai Thuong’s sketches made a remarkable impression, standing out among the other finalists. Additionally, these strengths served as the foundation that convinced the judging council, earning her the “Best Creativity Prize” at the Pierre Cardin Fashion Show 2025.

Award Conferred by the Pierre Cardin Creative Council

The “Best Creativity Prize” award for Hoai Thuong was chosen by the distinguished creative council of Maison Pierre Cardin, led by Mr. Rodrigo Basilicati Cardin, General Manager and grandson of the legendary Pierre Cardin.

Honored at the heart of Pierre Cardin’s legendary show, Hoai Thuong’s designs drew remarkable attention from Parisian fashion experts.

HSU Students’ Standout Presence on an International Stage in Viet Nam

For the first time in 2025, Maison Pierre Cardin introduced its celebrated fashion design competition to Viet Nam, partnering with An Phuoc Garment Embroidery Shoes Company Limited (its strategic partner) to create a world-class creative platform.

Selected from hundreds of entries representing universities and design institutes nationwide, Hoai Thuong successfully progressed through several evaluation stages, earning a place in the Top 32 and ultimately winning the highest award for creativity.

Real-life experience from international fashion shows

Besides the competition, the Pierre Cardin Fashion Show 2025 also offered HSU Fashion Design students a valuable chance to observe the operation of a world-class fashion show. They emphasized that they interacted with Maison Pierre Cardin’s creative team from Paris and learned how departments coordinated in a major production, from design and styling to stage technology and show management.
