HSU Student Shine at Loa Thanh Award 2025
On November 21, 2025, at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature – Quốc Tử Giám, Mr. Tran Vinh Hung, an Interior Design student from Hoa Sen University, was recognized at the 37th Loa Thành Award, marking a significant milestone in his creative journey rooted in cultural identity.
Prestigious Honors for Outstanding National Design Projects
Founded in 1988, Loa Thanh Award has been recognized as the highest distinction for exceptional graduation projects in Architecture, Construction, Interior Design, and Planning.
For more than three decades, with sponsorship from leading professional and governmental organizations, the award has become a proud “first milestone” in the careers of countless young architects, engineers, and designers.

In 2025, the jury highlighted the strength of interior design projects that embraced the trend of creating immersive spatial scenarios for exhibitions and displays, demanding strong organizational thinking, storytelling ability, and experience-driven creativity.
“Xu Phan Resort”: Where Fishing Village Memories Inspire Interior Design
Among 185 submissions, “Xu Phan Resort” by Mr. Tran Vinh Hung, an Interior Design student at Hoa Sen University (HSU), stood out for its thoughtful approach, reviving the memories of Binh Thuan’s fishing villages and reimagining them as a cultural and artistic resort space.

The project unfolds through four emotional landscapes:
- Nakedness: The pure beginning, where sea and sun awaken the senses;
- Harmony: Cultural intersections expressed through indigenous materials;
- Serenity: A space of refuge where light and proportion create a sense of stability; and,
- Tranquility: The tranquility of nature, reminiscent of the quiet of the sea.

The project aims to harmonize traditional and contemporary elements, integrating artistic expression with lived experience so that each space conveys a distinct story within a unified composition.
A Proud Moment at the Temple of Literature
Loa Thanh Award honors not only Vinh Hung’s project but also his mission to preserve and share Binh Thuan’s cultural identity through design.
His recognition at the 2025 ceremony in Hanoi marks a proud milestone in his journey at HSU and a shining achievement for HSU’s Interior Design program.
A Creativity Pathway Fueled by Experiential learning
Before marking at Loa Thanh Awards 2025, Vinh Hung’s “Xu Phan Resort” project won First Prize at HSU’s 2024 Interior Design Graduation Council.
Currently, Hung is a member of the design team at BOHO Decor Company Limited, participating in many large projects, such as Terminal T3 – Tan Son Nhat, The Kross, or FPT Software Phase 3.

His maturity demonstrates the effectiveness of HSU’s training orientation, which emphasizes cultivating design capacity shaped by cultural identity, informed by humanistic thinking, and integrated with professional practice.

The accomplishment of Mr. Tran Vinh Hung validates the HSU Faculty of Design – Arts’ educational excellence, where students are encouraged to articulate their narratives through a refined and emotionally resonant design language.

HSU believes that Vinh Hung’s journey will encourage many HSU students to stay committed to sustainable, creative, and culturally rooted design values.
