Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Huy Nhựt is an educational administrator with nearly three decades dedicated to teaching, research, and university administration. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. In 2015, he was recognized by the State Council for Professorship as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in Economics, and in 2017, he was appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
Throughout his career, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Huy Nhựt has held many key leadership positions at reputable higher education institutions, contributing actively to the development of training quality, scientific research, and faculty development: Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Director of the Human Resources Organization Department of Nguyen Hoang Education Group, Vice President of Hong Bang International University; and also a Member of the Grassroots Professorship Council of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (2016–2019) and Vice Chairman of the Grassroots Professorship Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University in 2021.
Dr. Edward Hockings currently serves as a Program Director in the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and International Relations from King’s College London and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of the West of Scotland. Additionally, he has 12 years of experience in training and teaching.
Dr. Ho Thi My Linh has over 15 years of experience in educational management, quality assurance, and international collaboration. She has held several leadership positions at Hoa Sen University and is currently the only Vietnamese member of the NEAS Advisory Council, a prestigious Australian education quality assurance organization. With a strong passion for education, Dr. Linh is dedicated to developing modern training programs that provide Vietnamese students with access to high-quality international curricula and the confidence to thrive in a global environment.
Mr. Phu Truong Thang is the Vice Dean of the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement (IIE&GE) at Hoa Sen University. He has extensive experience in international education management, communication, and partnership development with institutions in the UK, France, and Switzerland. He believes education should nurture both intellect and character, empowering students to learn with purpose and grow as global citizens.
Dr. Ian had a successful career in sales management in London before transitioning to higher education after completing his MBA. He led international programs at Aberystwyth University and Swansea University, then joined De Montfort University as Associate Dean for International in 2019, where he also taught Management Skills and was appointed as a Visiting Professor at Beijing City University.
Mr. Mike Gibson currently serves as a lecturer at De Montfort University, Leicester. Mr. Mike holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management & Development from the University of Leicester. With nearly 10 years of experience in language teaching across various countries, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
Duncan Hepworth works as Partnership Development Manager within the Global Partnership Unit and is responsible for identifying and developing new Transnational Education Partnerships. Duncan’s geographic area includes Africa, South East and East Asia and the Americas.
Duncan has over 20 years’ experience within the education sector both in the UK and overseas and has been with DMU since December 2017.
Before working at DMU, Duncan has worked in international higher and secondary education recruitment with education institutions and recruitment agents around the world for over five years.
Neil Hart is the Associate Director of Transnational Education (TNE) within the Global Partnerships Unit (GPU). He has oversight of the university’s TNE activities, ensuring smooth transition of new partnership developments into mainstream GPU and faculty-based workstreams.
Neil joined DMU in 2021 and has worked in Higher Education since 1996 with more than a decade in TNE roles setting up and managing international and UK based partnerships for Staffordshire University and Coventry University.
He has lived and worked in a number of Sub-Saharan African countries including Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo and began his career in education working as a voluntary Physics teacher under the auspices of Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) in the Western Region of Ghana.
Neil has a PhD in Engineering and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Associate Dean International, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media at De Montfort University
The majority of Richard’s research career is focused on the development of thin films for electronic devices such as thin film transistors (TFTs), primarily involving amorphous silicon and hydroxy-oxide zinc.
Richard’s current primary interest lies in the novel development of nano-scale materials, exploring nano-bio interfaces, and directly connecting nano-sized materials/devices with biological systems.
Holly Everley is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Helping to co-ordinating the university’s engagement with transnational education (TNE) and overseas recruitment partnerships, her key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Holly joined DMU in June 2020 and has previously been working with the Partnerships Team within Social Impact and Engagement here at DMU.
Holly graduated from York St John University where she studied BSc (Hons) Psychology. Holly is also a Lean Competency Systems (LCS) practitioner at Level 1b and is certified Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project.
Richard Child is the specialist Lecturer for the international BA (Hons) Graphic Design programme between De Montfort University (UK) and Hoa Sen University. With more than twenty years’ experience in art and design education, Richard has driven the development of forward-looking curricula and international education collaborations. Passionate about creative learning, Richard empowers students to explore design as an evolving, boundary-crossing discipline that connects ideas, culture, and innovation.
Dr. Phan Vo Minh Thang currently serves as Dean of Economics and Business Faculty at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics and Business in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Additionally, he has 10 years of experience working in software technology centers in various positions such as team leader, department head, and CEO.
Head of Logistics and International Trade – Hoa Sen University
Dr. Nguyen Huu Hao currently serves as Dean of Logistics and International Trade at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics Management and International Trade in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the International Business Academy of Scandinavia, Denmark – Malaysia. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience in researching various scientific topics at different levels such as university and institutions.
Mr. Tran Quang Hai currently serves as the Director of the General English Program at the Faculty of Languages and International Culture, Hoa Sen University. Alongside his managerial role, he is also a Research Fellow at the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from Victoria University, Australia, and regularly presents at national and international conferences on linguistics and language teaching. With diverse teaching experience catering to both English majors and non-majors, he has accumulated his expertise from working at various educational institutions.
Ms. Nhu is responsible for advising and assisting students in selecting, applying for, and preparing for study abroad programs. The role includes providing information about universities and programs abroad, guiding the visa application process, and preparing necessary documents. Additionally, she organizes webinars and events to help students and parents understand study abroad opportunities, as well as supporting students throughout their studies and living experiences overseas.
Ms. Trịnh Thanh Mi is an Admissions Consultant at the International Education Institute – Hoa Sen University, responsible for the De Montfort University – HSU Vietnam international joint program.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance – Banking (Hoa Sen University) and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). With foundational experience in the finance sector (Yuanta, Techcombank), Ms. Mi focuses on developing admissions consulting, communications, and partnership activities with high schools and enterprises in the education sector.
Ms. Truong Hoang Qui Phi is a Global Engagement Officer at the Institute of International Education and Global Engagement (IIE&GE), Hoa Sen University. She graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, specializing in international partnership development and student experience enhancement. She collaborates closely with global partners to promote international mobility, enhance the student experience, and expand cross-cultural learning opportunities. She believes education is a lifelong journey, encouraging learners to continuously explore, grow, and connect with the world through meaningful academic and cultural engagement.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Tram is an Executive of the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement (IIE&GE) at Hoa Sen University. She has experiences in Teaching and Education Management.
MSc. Bien Trang Thao Vy holds a Master’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from University of Liverpool (UK, 2016) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business (Joint Program between Foreign Trade University Ho Chi Minh City and University of Bedfordshire, UK, 2015).
With extensive experience in international education consulting and a strong academic background across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the UK, she is committed to contributing to the advancement and quality enhancement of international joint training programs at the Institute of International Education and Global Engagement.
Mr. Vo Minh Hieu is an Academic Officer at the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement (IIE&GE), Hoa Sen University. He has extensive experience working in various managerial positions across both national and international companies. He believes that at Hoa Sen University, students should always be at the center, and all services should be designed to support their learning, growth, and overall success.
Pham Ngoc Yen Vy holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology (HUFLIT). She is currently a Communications & Events Executive at the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement, Hoa Sen University, responsible for content development, brand communication, and organizing activities to promote international joint programs.
Ms. Nguyen To Quynh Ngan is currently a Digital Marketing Staff at the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement (IIE&GE). She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing from Hoa Sen University in 2025.
She possesses solid hands-on experience in operating digital marketing channels and executing paid advertising campaigns, including professional experience at the e-commerce platform Droppii. With a proactive mindset and strong analytical thinking, she focuses on optimizing communication effectiveness through data-driven strategies, aiming to enhance campaign performance and improve the accuracy of the Institute’s target audience reach.
