In a world undergoing a strong transformation under the impact of digital technology, information technology has become the core infrastructure promoting development in all fields, from economics, production, healthcare, and education to media, entertainment, and daily life. With over 30 years of training experience, Faculty of Technology – Hoa Sen University affirms its position as a leading training unit in Technology, educating a generation of engineers with solid professional competence, creative thinking, and flexible adaptation to global changes.

The training model at the Faculty of Information Technology is built on a modern educational philosophy, referencing leading universities worldwide and closely following the practical needs of businesses. Currently, the Faculty offers 3 majors:

• Information Technology;
• Software Engineering;
• Artificial Intelligence.

Notably, the training program meets AUN-QA (an assurance organization of the ASEAN University Network), integrating trending technology knowledge such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Cybersecurity, etc.

Students will learn through the Project-based learning method throughout the course, participate in technology competitions organized by the Faculty such as HSU Programming Challenge, HSU TechDev Challenge, or join external competitions to access the latest technology, hone problem-solving skills, and develop logical thinking and teamwork. These are important factors that help young people confidently enter the real working environment.

The learning space at the Faculty is equipped with modern laboratory systems, with study guided by a team of lecturers rich in practical experience, well-trained in countries with advanced education, and technology experts from leading enterprises. This is a great advantage in connecting academic knowledge with the demands of the global workforce.

A major differentiator for students of the Faculty of Information Technology at Hoa Sen University is their ability to integrate into the labor market while still studying. Each student will undergo two mandatory corporate internships (at the end of year 2 and year 4) and regularly participate in field trips to companies like VNG, Bosch, HRS Group, etc.

According to a survey from June 2025 by the HSU Center for Student Experience and Corporate Relations, 94% of Information Technology students are employed before graduation. For the Software Engineering major, the rate is 90%, with 55% of students working for international and foreign-owned enterprises. Simultaneously, the Faculty possesses an extensive network with many reputable domestic and international technology enterprises: Google, Samsung, Amazon Web Services, VNG Corporation, Bosch, DXC Technology, etc.
