Exploring Paris: A Fashion and Culture Journey with HSU Fashion Business Students

Fashion Business students (Cohort 2020) from Hoa Sen University have just wrapped up a three-month exchange semester in the global fashion capital, Paris. The program marks a key milestone, equipping them with a European-standard academic foundation, strategic mindset, and brand-building skills in the luxury segment to step confidently into the international market.

Access to Leading Fashion Academies

Under HSU’s international training cooperation, Fashion Business students (2020 cohort) completed a three-month study and cultural exchange program in France, hosted by prestigious partners: École Conté (Collège de Paris Group) and Rennes International Business School.

Through this trip, four students, Mr. Hoang Thanh Phuc, Ms. Le Ngoc Phuong Thao, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Khanh Han, and Ms. Ho Lam Thuc Nghi, had the valuable opportunity to study directly with international lecturers, gain access to European-standard knowledge and global fashion business trends, and engage in discussions with peers from around the world. The experience helped them expand their perspectives on the fashion industry, sharpen strategic thinking, and apply knowledge directly to the luxury fashion business.

Visiting Iconic Museums and Landmarks in France

Immersion in Paris’s Trendy Cultural Scene

On their exchange trip, they not only attended classes in European lecture halls but also visited key fashion industry destinations, including art and culture museums to iconic Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. These experiences allowed them to explore the intersection of history, art, and the fashion business, and to see firsthand how global brands integrate cultural heritage into image building and brand development strategies.

HSU Students Learning from World-Renowned Brands

Practical activities such as attending the Louis Vuitton – LV Dream exhibition, joining a book signing with designer Jacquemus, and experiencing the festive atmosphere of the world’s largest Christmas market in Strasbourg offered students unforgettable experiences. These opportunities not only gave them direct access to today’s creative currents but also deepened their understanding of how luxury brands craft experiences, connect cultures, and assert their position in the international market.

Entry into the Global Fashion World

Thanks to the 2022 cooperation agreement between HSU and École Conte, Fashion Business graduates gain dual credentials, a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from HSU and a Fashion Business certificate from Collège de Paris. They also enjoy advantages such as exemptions in the Master’s program in Luxury and Fashion Management at École Conti and opportunities to study abroad through the exchange program between HSU and Collège de Paris.

HSU–Collège de Paris Dual Recognition for Fashion Merchandising Students

The study exchange trip to France for Fashion Business students exemplifies HSU’s philosophy of liberal education and its international academic orientation. In this program, students immerse themselves in a new culture, gain knowledge of heritage branding, customer experience design, and brand management in the high-end fashion industry, thereby strengthening strategic thinking and fostering distinctive creativity to thrive in the competitive fashion market.
