[The project of first-year studentof Interior Design is displayed at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association exhibition]
Although they are only in their first year, Interior Design students have undertaken model design projects. The products are elaborately developed by students from conceptualization, drawings, and model implementation. This is a way for students to have early access to the career they will pursue in the future.
Program Goals
- The Interior Design program at HSU focuses on training students with enough creative capacity, detailed implementation of ideas and complete design of projects, application of theory and technology in the design process associated with sustainable design trends and climate change adaptation.
- Ability to manage and execute projects, ability to design independently and collaborate with team members to implement projects, present and defend design projects.

Education Program
The training program focuses on knowledge blocks:
- General knowledge of graphics and shaping bases.
- Knowledge of history, culture, development of architecture and interior decoration in Vietnam and the world.
- Knowledge of the principles of space organization, shaping composition, aesthetic laws of shapes, perspective, materials, colors…
- Skills and methods of implementation of interior design and interior-exterior decoration patterns.
- Knowledge and skills in designing interior products.
- Application of design support software.
- Project management.
Output Standards
- Applying knowledge when referring to program outcomes of society, environment, and art to the field of interior design.
- Integrate, compare, and analyze issues related to urban, architectural, landscape, built environment, interior and exterior.
- Have skills in reading, understanding, and expressing architectural drawings, interior techniques by hand and computer.
- Understanding and mastering the design process from research, idea development to construction implementation.
- Understanding the realities of the furniture business, project management and interior construction, have the ability to start-up.
