The Faculty of Economics and Business fosters a dynamic learning environment by organizing project-based subjects as academic competitions in business and human resources, allowing students to discover their strengths, gain hands-on experience, and connect with experts and businesses. Additionally, students have the opportunity to either join the Organizing Committee for hands-on project management experience or compete as contestants to challenge themselves in a practical academic setting.
The “Talented Administrator” is a business competition where contestants apply their knowledge to develop a business model encompassing a business plan, marketing campaign, and human resource development project, presenting it to a panel of experts, including businessmen, corporate managers, and lecturers. Therefore, the competition provides a real business simulation environment where students gain valuable training in leadership, teamwork, analytical thinking, and persuasive communication under pressure.
The HSU Business Challenge (HBC) takes business challenges from theoretical concepts to practical implementation. Notably, contestant groups will ideate, secure funding (through investment or sponsorship), deploy production, or commercialize a product/service over 15 weeks, and report actual business outcomes to a panel of entrepreneurs and investors. Consequently, this offers students an invaluable chance to practice management skills, handle real-world scenarios, and build resilience under pressure, mirroring the experience of actual business leaders.
Organized by the Human Resource Management students of HSU, this initiative demonstrates its strong appeal to aspiring HR professionals, enabling them to apply their knowledge, develop project management and strategic thinking skills, and hone problem-solving abilities within a simulated business context. Candidates will go through 3 dramatic rounds: develop HR ideas, present their feasibility, and defend their projects before a panel of business experts.
