HSU Business Challenge 2024 Reaches 300 Million VND in Sales in 3 Months

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business made their mark at the HSU Business Challenge 2024, achieving nearly 300 million VND in total revenue after just three months of running their real-world business models. This remarkable accomplishment received high praise from the panel of judges and participating enterprises.

A Practical Business Arena for Students

The HSU Business Challenge is an annual competition organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management, Hoa Sen University, designed to provide students with practical exposure and hands-on experience in the field of business. The 2024 season concluded with significant highlights, featuring the participation of over 250 students and 50 organizing committee members. The competition awarded a total prize value of nearly 500 million VND, with strong support from leading enterprises such as AP Saigon Petro, Mr. Brown, DOL IELTS Đình Lực, and WESET.

Final Round of HSU Business Challenge 2024

Over the course of 15 weeks, participating teams went through multiple challenging rounds to develop strategies, launch real products, and expand their markets. The Final Round and Gala Awards Ceremony, held in early January 2025, featured the top five teams presenting and defending their projects before an evaluation panel comprising industry experts and executives from four leading enterprises in the Vietnamese market.

Huong’s team excelled and claimed the Championship title of the competition.

Outstanding Projects Receive High Praise from Industry

Mr. Vũ Đỗ Tuấn Huy – President of the Hoa Sen University Alumni Association and Founder & CEO of Tinh Hoa Việt – commended the meticulous work of the Faculty of Economics and Management students:

The reports submitted by the teams are truly outstanding and can even rival those of professionals with many years of experience.

The Runner-up Prize was awarded to the Mộc Hương Bath Salt project.

Innovative projects such as pandan grass cup holders, recycled denim bags, and herbal health care products illustrate that Hoa Sen students have stepped beyond theory to create real products – with real value and tangible sales:

  • Champion – Huong Team with a scented candle paired with a ceramic base. The product stands out for its aesthetics and quality and received direct support of 50 units from Ms. Dương Ánh Nguyệt, Country Director of INTERFACE in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar, to help develop the market.
  • Runner-up – Mộc Hương Bath Salt Team with natural herbal bath salts, promoting safe and healthy consumer care.
  • Third Prize – Gané Nutritional Milk Team offering high-quality milk products for diverse consumers, with a focus on nutrition and community health.
  • Consolation Awards – Hạt Nắng and Len Nhà Sen Teams, recognized for their innovative mindset and creative approaches.
The Third Prize was awarded to the Gané Nutritional Milk team.

Nearly 300 Million VND in Revenue, Demonstrating HSUers’ Competence

A standout feature of this year’s edition was that the teams implemented real business operations and achieved impressive revenues, with some teams generating up to 60 million VND in just three months. The total revenue across all teams reached nearly 300 million VND, highlighting their ability to apply knowledge effectively and their strategic market acumen.

The competition has become a launching pad for many young participants to demonstrate their business acumen, agility, and teamwork skills. Through this, the Faculty of Economics and Management continues to affirm its position as a leading institution in the fields of Business and Management. With the achievements attained, the competition is set to remain one of the Faculty’s flagship activities in the coming seasons.
