Hoa Sen University welcomes the University of Missouri-Kansas, USA

On February 26, 2019, Hoa Sen University warmly welcomed the delegation of Officers and Lecturers of the University of Missouri-Kansas (UMKC), a large public university in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
Participants at the meeting from Hoa Sen University included: Dr. Ngo Quang Trung – Head of the International Cooperation Department, Ph.D. Nguyen Bao Thanh Nghi – Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Ph.D. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Ph.D. Nguyen Hong An – Head of Applied Psychology Department and Ph.D. Tran Van Duong – Lecturer of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Dr. Ngo Quang Trung and Ph.D. Nguyen Ngoc Vu welcomed the UMKC representative group.
UMKC representatives visiting Hoa Sen University include Dr. Monica Mingucci – Program Director and professor. Kristi Holsinger – Vice President and Mr. Wilson SYAng – Regional Director of China and Asia Pacific.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the potential for training cooperation that Hoa Sen University wishes to develop in the future including the Master’s Program in TESOL, learn more about programs in Applied Psychology Use, and develop communication training programs. It is known that the field of communication is one of UMKC’s training strengths. Furthermore, Hoa Sen University wishes to establish a student exchange program with UMKC as soon as possible to create conditions for many students to have the opportunity to study abroad.
The representative of UMKC introduced the school through images of American culture, the school’s modern facilities, tourist attractions, and the learning environment. From there, it shows that UMKC can become an ideal place to study. Currently, two schools have signed a contract to implement a 1+1 training program with special preferential scholarships. Students who want to study in the United States have another opportunity to transition to studying in an internationalized environment.
Finally, some discussion points were clarified and brought positive results in future cooperation. Hoa Sen University hopes that with the efforts and preparation for cooperation of both sides, several new programs will be run at the school soon.
