Optimizing Digital Libraries for Research Document Management
In the journey of scientific research, effective access to and management of academic resources are key to transforming ideas into high-quality research outcomes. In order to empower students with these essential skills from the beginning, Hoa Sen University is hosting the program “Optimizing Digital Libraries for Research Document Management”, a practical workshop within the Student Scientific Research Competition 2025 – 2026, designed to support and inspire the next generation of young researchers.
Through this workshop, students will gain a systematic understanding of the HSU Digital Library and major academic resources, including electronic databases, open educational resource repositories, and the internally generated digital system. The program also equips students with practical skills in locating, accessing, using, and accurately citing scientific literature, contributing to higher research quality and academic integrity.
In particular, the program introduces widely used reference management tools, such as EndNote and Mendeley, enabling students to organize, store, and cite research materials systematically, saving significant time. What’s more, the workshop updates students on the application of AI in document searching, summarization, and knowledge systematization, an emerging trend in the modern academic environment.
Distinguished speakers:
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, Specialist, HSU Library
MA. Nguyen Thien Truong, Director of the Hoa Sen Elite Program, Faculty of Hospitality Management
