The 15th Student Scientific Research Competition
Hoa Sen University (HSU) has officially launched the 15th Student Scientific Research Competition for the 2025 – 2026 academic year, inspiring a new journey of discovery, creativity, and academic achievement for students.
Contest Significance
The competition aims to nurture a culture of scientific research among students, inspiring them to strengthen critical thinking, research skills, and an academic mindset, all crucial for success in the modern era.
Furthermore, it serves as an academic platform where students can apply their knowledge in practice, turning ideas into innovative solutions, start-up projects, and socially valuable initiatives. Outstanding research topics will be selected to represent HSU at the 28th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award in 2026.
Participation Format and Regulations
- Students may select their own research topics or choose from those proposed by lecturers;
- Each group may include up to five members, with one student designated as the group leader; and,
- Groups must register and submit their detailed outlines to the Faculty between October 2025 and January 2026.
During the research process, students can take part in a series of workshops and seminars organized by the Office of Research Affairs – Science Journal, in collaboration with the Faculties, to equip them with essential knowledge and advanced research skills.
Topic Selection Criteria
To ensure that every research project is both meaningful and useful, topics should be scientifically valuable, original, and creative, while also fitting students’ abilities and the university curriculum.
They should offer practical benefits that can be applied in real life and must follow legal guidelines for scientific and technological research.
Award Structure
- 1 First prize
- 2 Second prizes
- 3 Third prizes
- 10 Consolation prizes
Winning topics will advance to the 2026 Euréka Student Scientific Research Award, opening doors for wider academic exchange and demonstrating the strength and talent of HSU students in the academic arena.
