Literature Review: Theoretical Frameworks & Models
Continuing the student scientific research workshop series, Research Affairs – Science Journal organizes Session 4, themed “Literature Review: Theoretical Frameworks & Models”. The workshop will provide students with essential academic tools to strengthen the foundation of their scientific research projects.
Joining the session is Dr. Tran Linh Dang, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, Hoa Sen University, who will provide expert guidance. During the workshop, students will be equipped with the essential knowledge necessary to identify research gaps and construct a solid theoretical framework through the role of literature reviews. The speaker will provide step-by-step guidance on sourcing high-quality academic literature from trusted databases such as Google Scholar and Scopus, and introduce evaluation criteria to ensure alignment with research objectives.
Additionally, students will be introduced to techniques for synthesizing literature by topic, research methods, and findings. They will also learn how to construct a theoretical framework and develop a research model by identifying variables, hypothesizing relationships, and illustrating these concepts with diagrams. This workshop is designed to foster a structured, scientific approach to research, preparing students for the next stages of their projects.
