From Tutor to Manager: Navigating Career Growth in English Language Training
Starting as a tutor, how far can you go in English language teaching? How can you develop your professional strengths, sharpen your management skills, and one day run your own English language center? For many students in English Language Teaching, these questions mark the beginning of a purposeful and exciting career journey.
Aiming to equip students with real-world insights into career growth and advancement in English language teaching, the English Language Studies Program – Faculty of Languages – Psychology, Hoa Sen University, presents ENGPOWER WORKSHOP SERIES – EP.4: “From a Tutor to a Manager”.
Bringing real-world experience to the session, the workshop features two speakers who are alumni of Hoa Sen University’s English Language Studies Program (English Language Teaching major), Class of 2010.

– Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Founder & CEO of Ascend Academy English Center
Through this seminar, students will gain a clearer understanding of career pathways in English language teaching, from becoming effective educators to leading and managing educational institutions. Furthermore, it equips participants with practical knowledge in professional skills, classroom management, human resource management, and language center operations, laying the foundation for long-term career growth.
Beyond knowledge and hands-on insights, the talk show allows students to listen to real career journeys from alumni, sparking inspiration, strengthening their goals, and helping them prepare more confidently for the future.
Target participants: English Language Teaching students from Hoa Sen University and beyond who are interested in the workshop.
