When voice becomes courage
Entirely run by students from the Faculty of Marketing – Communication at Hoa Sen University (HSU), the MiCatcher contest launched its third season with an expanded scale and quality, attracting over 60 contestants from 17 universities and high schools. Under the theme “Lặng Biển – Trỗi Sóng – Dậy Sóng” (suggested translation: From Stillness to Flourish), MiCatcher 2025 was a professional platform for young people to challenge themselves. It was a journey to develop their confidence, stage presence, and the skill of conveying emotions.

When contestants stepped onto the stage, they shared more than just their voices; they revealed their personalities and stories. Through each round, contestants were trained to adjust their tone, control their breathing, and master their emotions, gradually maturing into professional, inspirational storytellers.
The judging panel, which included MC Thanh Thao (Founder & CEO, Sun & Moon Academy), MC Hoang Tri, MC Tuyet Vinh, and Director – MC Anh Duc, ensured the competition was a memorable season.
MC Thanh Thao, who served as a judge for two seasons, was emotional after witnessing the contestants’ growth, and she commended the MiCatcher Organizing Committee for its professionalism.

Imprints from student creativity
A special highlight of MiCatcher 2025 was the theme song, “Sóng ngầm trong từng thanh âm” (Undercurrent in every sound), which was both composed and performed by the Organizing Committee. This was one of the extraordinary student programs to feature his own song, showcasing thorough and meticulous investment.

MiCatcher 2025 was not only a talent search contest but also a living testament to the value of HSU’s “Experiential learning” philosophy. Every task, from designing the theme and building the program format to handling communications and finding sponsors, was managed by the students.
Behind the stage lights were hundreds of hours of hard work, late-night adjustments, and intense rehearsals, all showed that HSU students not only studied theory but also worked right in the classroom.
The MiCatcher contest will continue to grow, not only to discover talented young MCs, but also to affirm the spirit of a generation of HSU students: confident, creative, professional, and daring to create new value for the community.
