McDonald’s TVC: A Decade-long Journey, the Same Authentic Flavor

Ten years is not just a marker of time but also a journey for a brand to affirm its identity and build bonds with customers. For McDonald’s, a decade in Vietnam has been retold through cinematic language in the TVC “A Decade-long Journey, the Same Authentic Flavor”—a creative work by HSU students that has just won the BEST BRANDED STORYTELLING award.

The TVC “McDonald’s: A Decade-long Journey, the Same Authentic Flavor” is a creative hallmark of students from the Media Production Management program at Hoa Sen University. With delicate storytelling and an emotionally rich perspective, the piece recreates McDonald’s steady development in Vietnam while honoring the brand’s core values and the familiar taste that has accompanied generations of customers.

Not only recognized as an outstanding academic production, the TVC also proudly won the BEST BRANDED STORYTELLING award at EOS SUMMER 2024, impressing a jury of lecturers, filmmakers, and industry experts.

EOS (End of Semester Screening) is HSU’s annual final-term film showcase, where students freely express their talent and passion for film production. Uniquely, all EOS projects are entirely student-driven—from ideation, design, implementation, and sponsorship preparation—under the guidance of lecturers from the Faculty of Marketing and Communication, with the University accompanying as a “special sponsor.”
