Students in the Faculty of Marketing – Communications gain hands-on experience through projects designed as academic competitions and real-world business simulations. With guidance from lecturers and industry experts, these projects cover the core fields of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, and Innovations. Students have valuable opportunities to take on direct project management as part of the Organizing Committee or to participate as a contestant to test their skills in a practical, academically competitive environment.
Starting as a university TV commercial (TVC) production contest in 2010, TVCreate has continually expanded its reach and aims, becoming a real-world learning environment for marketing and creative TVC production, attracting a wide array of students nationwide to gain practical skills before graduation. TVCreate’s practical nature enables students to do more than create scripts and TVCs; they also get to directly manage a large-scale project. Every process, from project development and fundraising to media implementation and event coordination, operates like a “miniature agency”.
MiCatcher, a project operated entirely by students from the Faculty of Marketing – Communications, has now entered its third season with an increasingly improved scale and quality. Attracting over 60 contestants from 17 universities and high schools, it serves as a professional platform for young people to challenge themselves as MCs and practice their confidence, stage presence, and emotional communication skills. Furthermore, MiCatcher is a living proof of Hoa Sen University’s commitment to “Experiential learning”. Every task, from designing the theme and building the program format to handling communications and finding sponsors, was managed by the students.
EOS is the annual final film screening event for students majoring in Media Technology Management. Comprising a Spring and Summer session, it provides a unique opportunity for students to screen their first media projects for a public audience in cinemas. Students receive invaluable feedback from lecturers, experts, and the audience, allowing them to hone their professional skills. More than just a screening, EOS serves as a significant milestone, marking its journey of growth in the fields of media, cinema, and content creation.
