HSU Business Challenge 2025 – A Platform for Students to Start Real Businesses and Sell for Real.

Student Startup Competition Turns Classrooms into Marketplaces

The HSU Business Challenge 2025 is more than an annual competition for students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Hoa Sen University (HSU); it is a practical arena where students run real businesses, sell actual products, and generate real revenue while still in school.

In its fourth season, more than 150 students from 34 teams joined the two-month entrepreneurial program, directly developing ideas, creating products, designing packaging, building brands, planning marketing strategies, and bringing their products to market.

In just two months, HSU students designed, produced, and sold over 5,500 products, earning nearly 180 million VND in real revenue. Each product represents a story, hard work, and a milestone in the students’ journey as young entrepreneurs – all while still in the classroom. The competition once again proves that at Hoa Sen University, students not only learn theory but also apply it in practice, generating tangible value from their education.

Learn Real Business – Do Real Business at the Faculty of Economics and Management, HSU

The curriculum at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Hoa Sen University is designed to develop students’ comprehensive capabilities:

  • Solid foundational knowledge: marketing, finance, management, entrepreneurship, logistics, and more.
  • Practice-oriented training: integrating real projects and startup initiatives such as the HSU Business Challenge directly into coursework.
  • Hands-on business and leadership skills: students gain experience in planning, fundraising, closing deals, negotiation, idea critique, and crisis management.

HSU does not just train students to talk about business – it trains them to do business. During the Launch of the HSU Business Challenge 2025, held at Hall G – Nguyen Van Trang Campus, the event became a “real marketplace”, where creative products were displayed and sold directly to customers.

Each booth functioned as a “mini startup,” where HSU students not only showcased their creative products but also demonstrated sharp business acumen. From booth design, brand storytelling, and product marketing to pricing strategies and handling unexpected situations – everything was executed with careful planning and professionalism.

  • Artichoke Coffee: A unique product combining natural flavors while promoting Vietnamese cultural heritage.
  • Personalized Perfumes: Handmade fragrances tailored to individual personalities, popular among young consumers.
  • Eco-friendly Products: Scented candles, natural soaps – catering to sustainable consumption trends.
  • And over 30 other unique products from participating teams in the competition.

HSU Business Challenge 2025 – A Launchpad for Young Entrepreneurs

Nearly 180 million VND in revenue is an impressive figure, but the true value lies in the practical lessons that students have gained. “In my view, this competition is more than an academic contest; it is the entrepreneurial journey of HSU students while they are still in school,” shared M.A. Lê Ngọc Đức, Lecturer and Business Management Coordinator.

The HSU Business Challenge 2025 Launch Event marked the end of the kickoff phase with outstanding results: over 5,500 products sold and nearly 180 million VND in actual revenue generated by students within 60 days. Yet, this is just the beginning – the competition continues to be the starting point of a promising entrepreneurial journey for students of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

After the hands-on sales round, there are still two rounds left to determine the champion of the fourth season of HSU Business Challenge 2025. Follow the remaining journey of these young entrepreneurs as they write the opening chapter of their business careers.
