[Recap] Hoa Sen University Hosts Workshop “Bridging the Gap for Success: University and Careers” with International Speaker from Massey University, New Zealand

On the morning of April 17, 2025, Hoa Sen University successfully organized the workshop “Bridging the Gap for Success: University and Careers” at Hall 903, Nguyen Van Trang Campus. The event, hosted by the Institute of International Education (IIE), drew the enthusiastic participation of Hoa Sen students and students from other universities.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Jeff Stangl, Associate Dean International of Massey Business School, Massey University (New Zealand). With extensive experience in international education and global career development, Dr. Jeff shared inspiring and practical insights with students, focusing on:

• Essential skills for success in a global working environment.
• How to make the most of university life to prepare for future careers.
• Study abroad opportunities, scholarships, and the Master of Management (Management, International Business, and Marketing) program co-developed between Massey University and Hoa Sen.

The workshop featured an engaging Q&A session where students posed questions related to international career paths, soft skills, and postgraduate study options. On behalf of the university, Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice President, presented a token of appreciation and thank-you letter to Dr. Jeff in recognition of his valuable contributions.

A special highlight of the event was the participation of the delegation from Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU), Philippines. During their visit to discuss partnership opportunities with Hoa Sen University, the SISFU delegation joined the workshop and delivered a brief sharing session on international programs and advice for students planning global careers.

The presence and exchange with SISFU representatives added a dynamic and international dimension to the event, providing Hoa Sen students with further opportunities to connect and explore global pathways.
