Distinctive Features

AUN-QA Accreditation

The program is rigorously evaluated under the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) framework, focusing on academic quality, faculty, learning methods, facilities, outcomes, and student support. This accreditation ensures students gain international-standard knowledge, ASEAN-wide exchange opportunities, and stronger career prospects locally and abroad.

Project-Based Skill Development

Hospitality Management students enhance their expertise by joining projects and competitions as organizers or contestants, gaining real-world experience and industry connections. Notable initiatives include I-Hotelier (17 years), The Future Chef Contest (12 years), and I-Bartender (6 years).

Diverse Learning Methods

At HSU, the philosophy of liberal education is reflected in every class, where students are encouraged to embrace independent thinking, responsible freedom, and respect for diversity. The program features diverse and innovative learning methods, from case studies, project-based learning, community service, and expert seminars, to real-world experiential activities that enrich both knowledge and skills.

Professional Internships at Leading Enterprises

Students complete at least two mandatory internships at the Faculty’s partner hotels such as New World Saigon, Sheraton Saigon, and Amanoi. These internships are essential for refining professional skills, gaining real-world experience, and preparing for future managerial roles in the hospitality industry.

Specialized Knowledge

Hospitality Management students are equipped with a solid foundation of core knowledge in hotel and lodging management and operations, while also receiving advanced training in business strategy, revenue management, customer experience design, and brand building. A distinctive emphasis is placed on the ability to use professional English for hospitality, apply problem-solving skills for complex challenges, and integrate interdisciplinary knowledge to enhance business performance — particularly in the premium and luxury segments of the industry.

Professional Skills

Students are proficient in designing, operating, and evaluating hotel services according to international standards, with the ability to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to different types of businesses. In addition, they are trained in human resource management, customer experience management, and professional problem-solving skills — critical competencies for professionals in the luxury service sector. Furthermore, students develop the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in teams, while fostering innovation and adaptability to meet the demands of the global hospitality market.

Sustainable Development

Students are trained to develop a sustainable mindset in service management, balancing business interests with community responsibility, environmental protection, and the preservation of local culture. They are also prepared to adapt flexibly to specific business contexts and emerging trends such as green tourism, smart hotels, and personalized experiences. In addition, the program encourages a spirit of lifelong learning, self-improvement, and continuous professional development through the pursuit of international certifications.
