English for Academic Purposes 1

The module establishes a strong foundation of academic thinking and abilities. The skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all-encompassing.
Students will acquire the ability to critically analyze, structure, and compose academic essays. Students will also comprehend the techniques for accurately citing academic sources in their writing.
The communicative approach facilitates the development of students’ confidence in English communication by engaging them in group activities.

English for Academic Purposes 2

This module builds on Academic English 1, enhancing students’ confidence and skills in academic English. It focuses on evaluating sources, and developing listening and speaking abilities for effective comprehension and participation in academic discussions.

Academic and Subject Specialist Skills

This module helps students transition to the British Higher Education system, focusing on professional development. It covers academic culture, reflective and independent learning, planning and time management, critical thinking, research skills, anti-plagiarism, and visual reasoning.

Fundamentals of Business

This module provides a foundation in business principles, covering HR, operations, marketing, finance, and other functions through case studies. Students develop essential skills for business success, understanding technological change and enhancing leadership for efficient resource management.

Introduction to Business and Maths Foundation

This module introduces business and fundamental mathematics in a global context, equipping students with essential quantitative skills to tackle business challenges and prepare for advanced, specialized courses.

The programme admits one intake per year only, ensuring academic quality and full alignment with UK education standards.

Flexible – suitable for diverse academic backgrounds:

  • High school academic transcript–based admission

  • International high school qualifications (A-Level, IB, AP, etc.)

  • National High School Graduation Examination results

  • Direct admission in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and Hoa Sen University (HSU)

3-Year Programme 

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Graduated from high school and completed one year of study at a university, college, or vocational institution

  • Graduated from high school overseas

  • Hold an international academic qualification (IBD, A-Level, AS-Level, IGCSE, WACE, SACE, GED, SAT, ACT, or equivalent)

  • Completed the Foundation Programme at De Montfort University (DMU)

English language requirement:
IELTS Academic 6.0 or above, or equivalent.

4-Year Programme

  • High school graduation or equivalent qualification
  • IELTS Academic 5.0 or above, or equivalent English qualification
