Hoa Sen University Earns Prestigious ASIIN International Accreditation
On April 10, 2025, Hoa Sen University was officially accredited at the institutional level by ASIIN. This accomplishment is a landmark for the university, as it is the first private and second overall university in Viet Nam to achieve this prestigious endorsement.
Satisfying all four sets of ASIIN inspection criteria
This marks a significant stride in the meticulous journey of Hoa Sen University (HSU) towards international stature, achieved by fulfilling all four international criteria. During a rigorous evaluation by European experts, HSU has proven to have an international-standard applied training programme by meeting all four sets of criteria from the European university quality assessment standards ASIIN.
1. Governance & Quality Objectives
The vision – mission – quality goals system is designed and implemented synchronously, with the participation of stakeholders (lecturers, students, employers).
2. Study Programmes & Student Services
We develop study programs through a continuous improvement cycle, complemented by a transparent examination and assessment system and effective, diverse student support services.
3. Resources & Staff Development
HSU is committed to its training mission, ensuring robust material and human resources, and implementing a policy for systematic, sustainable teaching staff growth.
4. Transparency & Documentation
With a public and easily accessible system of documents, regulations, and academic information, HSU effectively supports learning, teaching, and management.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Iring Wasser, Executive Director of ASIIN, emphasized that HSU’s achievement of the ASIIN Quality Accreditation Certificate was a testament to the School’s global reputation and comprehensive educational quality. Furthermore, he affirmed that the partnership between ASIIN and HSU would continue, with ASIIN serving as a reliable partner in the university’s journey toward sustainable educational development.
“My sincere congratulations to HSU on successfully achieving ASIIN accreditation. As the first private university in Viet Nam to reach this milestone, HSU has totally affirmed its capacity for international-standard educational quality management”.

Fostering a comprehensive development environment for students
Ms. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice Provost of HSU, stated that the school had completed ASIIN’s rigorous accreditation process, a comprehensive evaluation that was based on four quality standards. The university’s greatest pride was not its accreditations or rankings, but the success of HSU students. When 95% of HSU students found jobs immediately after graduation, many were working at large enterprises and organizations both domestically and internationally.
She emphasized: “These results are a clear testament to the School’s high educational standards and its dedication to continuous improvement. At HSU, students study in a modern, learner-centered environment, thereby equipping them with a solid foundation to succeed in the global market. HSU is committed to its future goal: becoming Viet Nam’s leading applied university and achieving international standards”.

The ASIIN accreditation helps HSU expand its partnerships with prestigious European universities, attracting more international students and businesses for collaboration in training and recruitment.
As a result, students will have the opportunity to receive scholarships, participate in international exchange programs, and have their credits recognized by European universities. Even while studying domestically, HSU students can be confident, as they are professionally and comprehensively trained in an international-standard environment. This provides a solid foundation for them to sharpen their skills and expand their career opportunities at multinational corporations and leading enterprises.

Mr. Vu Ngoc An, a student of English Language Studies, along with his peers, expressed great pride in being part of HSU, the first private university in Viet Nam to receive the prestigious ASIIN accreditation.
“I see unlimited opportunities for all HSU students who have studied and are currently studying. It will undoubtedly boost the HSU’s reputation and training quality, becoming a decisive factor for businesses to prioritize graduates. This assurance makes me feel even more confident and secure, both in my own studies and when recommending HSU to my friends and family”, he emphasized.

Previously, HSU has earned international program accreditations across diverse fields like business, management, technology, and innovation, notably including ACBSP (USA) for 5 majors, AUN-QA (Southeast Asia) for 12 majors, FIBAA (Switzerland) for 3 majors, and NEAS (Australia) for its English International Communication program.
Additionally, in 2021, HSU has achieved 4 QS STARS, a star rating system, part of the assessment system of the Quacquarelli Symonds Education Quality Assessment Organization, which has been a scale of educational quality recognized by famous universities around the world. Notably, HSU has earned 5 STARS in the Arts & Culture and Student Employment criteria.
