Tea Ceremony Cultural Experience – Celebrating the Mid-Year Festival 2025 at the Faculty of Languages – International Cultures

The “Tea Ceremony Cultural Experience – Celebrating the Mid-Year 2025,” organized by HSU’s Faculty of International Languages and Cultures, gave students and their parents an immersive journey into the elegance of East Asian culture within a unique Chinese cultural setting.

Experience the Richness of Chinese Culture in Vietnam

The event is part of the HSU Campus Tour 2025 – a hands-on experience program specially designed for high school students and their parents, aimed at introducing the international-standard learning environment at Hoa Sen University.

At the festival, participants will not only immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of traditional celebrations but also take part directly in a variety of activities related to the Chinese Language program, such as:

• Enjoy traditional tea ceremony rituals, performed by Ms. Trần Thị Mộng Kiều – Champion of the TEA Master Cup Vietnam.
• Experience Hồ Quảng cải lương, a theatrical art blending Vietnamese and Chinese traditions, performed by artist Lê Nguyễn Trường Giang.
• Create your own Shui Yin fan – a personal artwork combining Vietnamese lacquer techniques with traditional Chinese motifs.
• Explore the Chinese Language program at HSU through the “Colors of China” session, covering the curriculum, career pathways, and future international exchange opportunities.

In a special highlight, the program was honored to welcome Mr. Từ Châu, Acting Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City. During the event, he personally awarded prestigious scholarships from the Chinese Consulate to HSU students with outstanding academic achievements. This also provided high school students with an opportunity to learn more about scholarship opportunities when applying for the Chinese Language program in the 2025 admission year.

HSU Chinese Language Program: Double Degree – Reaching International Horizons

The Chinese Language program at Hoa Sen University features a unique 4 + [2+2] training model: 4 years of study in Vietnam with a practical, comprehensive curriculum that develops language skills, cultural understanding, and professional competencies. After graduation, students have the opportunity to continue 2 years of fully-funded study in Taiwan to earn a second bachelor’s degree, along with 2 years of internship and work experience there.

HSU Language students not only learn the language as a communication tool but also develop practical skills applicable in business, media, and socio-cultural fields. From their first year, they participate in cultural festivals, workshops, academic clubs, real-world projects, and internships at leading companies.

Additionally, the Faculty continuously expands partnerships with universities, organizations, and businesses in Taiwan and China, particularly the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, providing students access to programs such as exchange semesters, short-term courses, observational and graduation internships, and international academic exchanges.

The event “Tea Ceremony Cultural Experience – Celebrating the Mid-Year Festival 2025” is not just a cultural festival, but also the first gateway for high school students to step into the world of language learning and international opportunities offered by HSU’s Chinese Language program. With a comprehensive and multi-dimensional learning journey, HSU is the starting point for young citizens ready to break boundaries and integrate globally.
