Congratulations to HSU English Language students on reaching the finals of Spell in a Nutshell 2025!

Having surpassed more than 130 contestants from 14 leading universities in Ho Chi Minh City, English Language students Lê Các Nhi and Nguyễn Hoàng Thanh Ngân have officially advanced to the finals of Spell in a Nutshell 2025.

Confidently Shining on a Rigorous Academic Stage

Spell in a Nutshell 2025 is one of the most prestigious academic competitions, bringing together English language “masters” from leading universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Banking University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, and many others. This is an opportunity for students not only to test their language proficiency but also to demonstrate their poise, critical thinking, and confidence in a professional and highly competitive environment.

Amid the intense competitive atmosphere, two English Language students from Hoa Sen University – Lê Các Nhi (Class of 2021) and Nguyễn Hoàng Thanh Ngân (Class of 2023) – shone impressively, overcoming a series of challenges in academic vocabulary, grammar, and English fluency skills to secure their place in the finals.

A Testament to the Quality of English Language Education at HSU

Having students advance to the finals in both the Non-specialized and English-specialized categories is not only a source of pride for the contestants but also a clear testament to the quality of the English Language program at Hoa Sen University. The program consistently emphasizes comprehensive development, nurturing students’ academic skills, critical thinking, as well as their abilities in communication, presentation, and teamwork.

Students are also given opportunities to join English clubs, as well as clubs for a second language such as Chinese, to enhance their effective use of foreign languages. Through activities exploring world cultures and practical simulation competitions, they have the chance to develop critical thinking and apply language skills flexibly in various situations. Notably, students also have the opportunity to study and interact with international peers – a valuable chance to explore other cultures and improve communication skills in a multilingual environment.

The finals of the Spell in a Nutshell 2025 English competition will take place on April 26, 2025, bringing together the top contestants from each category. Hoa Sen University is proud to have a total of six students participating in this decisive round, highlighting HSU’s strength in developing language proficiency and fostering international integration for its learners.
