A Winning Performance: Logistics – International Trade Students Recognized with Two Awards at 14th Student Scientific Research Conference
The 14th Student Scientific Research Conference at Hoa Sen University was a resounding success, featuring outstanding research of significant academic and practical value. With the participation of students from various faculties, including Logistics – International Trade, this highlighted Hoa Sen University’s commitment to a practical academic environment.
Quality science-research playground for HSU students
In a rapidly changing economic environment, students at the Faculty of Logistics and International Trade at Hoa Sen University (HSU) must develop not only their professional knowledge but also their skills in independent research, data analysis, and providing valid strategic proposals. The Student Scientific Research Conference allows them to apply theories in finance, trade, logistics, and supply chain management to address real-world challenges in these fields.

The research topics this year highlighted a powerful leap forward in students’ approach and research capacity. Rather than merely observing current situations, many groups took a proactive approach by building hypothetical models, conducting market research, analyzing supply chain performance, and proposing actionable solutions.
These innovative works underscore the practical and forward-thinking spirit essential for success in today’s global and digitally-driven Logistics and Trade industries.
Instructor Support: Leverage to improve academic quality
The high-quality research topics were a direct result of the close guidance provided by HSU’s seasoned lecturers. This support helped students improve their research and ensure their work had real-world applicability.

Dr. Tu Minh Thien, HSU Vice Provost, took a moment during the conference to praise the students for their hard work and innovation while also acknowledging the essential guidance from their instructors. He also emphasized:
The Scientific Research Conference was a useful and effective playground, not only helping students consolidate and expand their knowledge, promote creativity and critical thinking, but also creating valuable opportunities for them to apply theoretical knowledge to real life.
Additionally, he also reminded students to cherish scientific research activities at university as a vital opportunity to expand knowledge, practice creativity, and open the door to a bright future career for themselves.
Social research topics – a bridge between academia and community development
Although varied in topics and approaches, all research focused on solving practical problems relevant to people’s lives, especially in developing areas like Ho Chi Minh City.
Covering a diverse range of topics, from the connection between parental burnout and adolescent development to the relationship between foreign investment and labor gender equality in Viet Nam, each research contributed valuable data, unique perspectives, and concrete solutions to key social issues.

Out of the many high-quality research topics submitted, the Scientific Council selected 10 excellent topics for awards. The Faculty was securing two of the winning topics:
Third prize: Topic Niềm tin và sự hài lòng: Chìa khoá thúc đẩy hành vi tái sở hữu xe ô tô điện tại Việt Nam?” (suggested translation; Trust and satisfaction: The key to promoting electric car re-ownership in Viet Nam?) Presented by the group of Ms. Le Huynh, Mr. Tran Ly Quoc Trung, and Ms. Le Thi Tra My.

Consolation Prizes: Topic: “Mối quan hệ giữa đầu tư nước ngoài và bình đẳng giới về lao động tại Việt Nam” (suggested translation: Foreign Investment’s Role in Gender Equality in Viet Nam’s Labor Market) performed by Ms. Nguyen Huynh Anh Thu.

Beyond their academic merits, these research topics also made practical contributions to the community and fostered sustainable development. At the same time, this was also an opportunity for students to practice research skills, critical thinking, and social responsibility – an important foundation for their future journey of maturity and integration.
