The Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure major aims to cultivate a cadre of legal experts with steadfast political mettle, possessing a profound mastery of regulations concerning crimes, punishments, and the adjudication of criminal cases. Students are equipped with in-depth legal knowledge while honing their skills in analysis, legal reasoning, and the resolution of specific legal disputes.
The modern curriculum strikes a balance between theory and practice, delving into the doctrines of criminology, judicial psychology, criminal investigation science, and contemporary criminal policies. Furthermore, students are trained in courtroom advocacy, criminal legal counseling, and the drafting of procedural documents.
A distinctive feature of the program is the moot court sessions conducted in the Trial Practice Room. These sessions utilize realistic hypothetical scenarios, enabling students to familiarize themselves with the roles of Judges, Procurators (Prosecutors), or Defense Attorneys while still in an academic environment.
