Practice-Oriented Training

The program is designed according to professional competency standards in Tourism and Travel Management, combining classroom theory with field-based experiential learning. Students explore destinations through domestic and international study tours, practice tour pricing, itinerary design, and risk management, operate the service chain (transportation, accommodation, restaurants, attractions), and deliver high-quality customer experience and care.

Project-Based Skill Development

At the Faculty of Hospitality, several courses are transformed into projects and competitions, giving students the opportunity to explore their potential and gain real-world experience. Notable examples include The Guiding Star competition for talented young tour guides; The Future Chef Contest, which set a national record in its 10th season; I-Hotelier, a prestigious competition with nearly two decades of development; and the internationally scaled I-Bartender competition.

Professional Certification

Before graduation, students are trained and awarded the Professional Certificate in Tour Guiding, issued in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. This certificate is a key requirement for obtaining both domestic and international Tour Guide Licenses. In addition, students receive guidance and support in the application process, helping them complete their professional portfolio and meet industry requirements when applying for jobs.

Extensive Industry Network

Through connections with a wide ecosystem of tourism enterprises, resorts, and transportation providers, students complete two structured internships (orientation and graduation) that provide a clear career pathway in positions such as tour operator, tour guide, travel consultant, sales executive, and MICE coordinator. These experiences help students strengthen their professional expertise and career readiness before graduation.

Professional Competencies

Students build a strong foundation in tourism knowledge combined with an understanding of the economic, cultural–social, political context, and international tourism trends, which they can apply effectively in real-world workplaces. They also gain expertise in business and management within the tourism industry, mastering professional skills in tour organization, program design and operations, service management, and customer care. In addition, students develop the ability to handle risk management and real-world problem-solving, while acquiring a solid understanding of legal regulations and professional standards.

Professional Skills

Graduates are capable of managing the entire professional workflow, from domestic and international tour guiding and tour operations to developing and implementing destination marketing strategies and customer relationship management. They are equipped to organize tourism events, coordinate large groups, apply management technologies, and handle situations with flexibility in multicultural environments. In addition, students achieve proficiency in professional English communication and practices.

Sustainable Development

Students develop a professional demeanor, a customer-centric service mindset, and a strong sense of responsibility. They are committed to updating themselves with new tourism trends or pursuing further academic advancement, while upholding values of cultural preservation, environmental protection, and professional ethics. Graduates are well-prepared to take on assigned responsibilities and progressively advance to senior management positions in the industry.
