After 1 year and 8 months in the hospitality industry, I am truly grateful to officially take on the role of Guest Service Representative at Grand Hyatt Nashville (USA). To achieve this international career opportunity, I spent two years studying and training in the Hotel Management – Hoa Sen Elite program, along with over a year of internship at Fusion Original Saigon Centre Hotel, where I rotated through various positions in F&B, Housekeeping, and Front Office.
This invaluable experience in Vietnam provided me with a solid foundation, giving me the confidence to succeed with an international employer in the U.S., even before completing my final year of study.

I believe that anyone going abroad will always miss home, miss Vietnam, crave a bowl of pho, a family meal, and the atmosphere of Tet. However, this internship is truly an opportunity for me to grow, apply the knowledge I have learned in practice, and become the best version of myself.
No matter where I am, my parents and HSU will always be my greatest support. I am deeply thankful to my family for their unwavering encouragement and to the Faculty of Hospitality, especially the Hoa Sen Elite program, for giving me the chance to intern in an international environment.

For me, 2023 was a year of “updating” myself. I overcame not only the tests in the classroom but also the “tests” of life. At times, I still felt uncertain and anxious due to a lack of real-world experience and because I had never been away from my family. Yet I believe that this internship opportunity is a crucial step for me to grow and further develop in the future.
I am truly grateful to my lecturers who have always accompanied me on this journey—not only imparting knowledge but also creating an open and supportive learning environment, where we are encouraged to freely share our ideas and express our personal perspectives in every class.
