De Montfort University – HSU Vietnam is an international joint program transferred entirely and originally from De Montfort University (a Public University in the United Kingdom).
The program offers an international standard learning experience right in Vietnam, ensuring students have access to the curriculum, assessment standards, and modern training methodologies used in the United Kingdom.
Graduates receive an international Bachelor’s degree awarded by De Montfort University, which is fully equivalent to the degree obtained by students studying directly at the main campus in Leicester – but at a cost of only 1/5 compared to a full-time study abroad program in the UK.

Vice President – Hoa Sen University
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Huy Nhựt is an educational administrator with nearly three decades dedicated to teaching, research, and university administration. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. In 2015, he was recognized by the State Council for Professorship as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in Economics, and in 2017, he was appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
Throughout his career, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Huy Nhựt has held many key leadership positions at reputable higher education institutions, contributing actively to the development of training quality, scientific research, and faculty development: Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Director of the Human Resources Organization Department of Nguyen Hoang Education Group, Vice President of Hong Bang International University; and also a Member of the Grassroots Professorship Council of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (2016–2019) and Vice Chairman of the Grassroots Professorship Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University in 2021.

Dr. Tu Minh Thien successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in Economics at the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
He has nearly 40 years of senior management experience across various organizations, including Van Hien University, the Agricultural High-Tech Park Management Board (AHTP), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ho Chi Minh City Agricultural Consulting and Support Center (HCACS), the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), Thai Binh Duong International Services Development Co., Ltd., as well as numerous related professional associations.
Chief Financial Officer
With more than 10 years of experience in accounting and auditing, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Huyen previously held the position of Audit Team Leader at Deloitte Vietnam, and served as Chief Accountant at Golden Tower BTS and Anova Thanh Nhon. Since 2018, she has been associated with the Nguyen Hoang Education Group and Hoa Sen University.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Duy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communication Design from RMIT University Vietnam, where he was awarded the President’s Award 2013, and a Master’s degree in Digital and Social Media from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, supported by an unconditional scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Business Analytics at Golden Gate University, United States.
Since 2007, he has accumulated 18 years of experience in Creativity, Product Development, and Marketing, holding key leadership positions such as Chief Growth Officer at Ba Huân Joint Stock Company and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Cát Tường Group, as well as senior roles at major organizations including Sacombank and Biti’s. He has also been a university lecturer since 2013, teaching at institutions such as Hoa Sen University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, he actively participates in community sustainable development projects, notably the Mural Village project funded by the Australian Government in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp, demonstrating his strong commitment to sustainable community development.

Mr. Truong Hoang Nhut successfully defended his Master’s thesis at the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and has worked in the field of Information Technology.
With more than 15 years of experience at Hoa Sen University, Mr. Nhut has held several key positions, including Head of the Information Technology Department, Project Manager, and Lecturer.

Mr. Pham Doan Nguyen successfully defended his Master’s thesis in Business Administration at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education. He has previously held key positions such as Director of the Career Guidance and Admissions Center at UEF, concurrently serving as Chair of the University Trade Union, Deputy Head of Admissions at HUTECH, and Director of the Training and Human Resources Supply Center at SITC.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Canberra, Australia.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education, having worked with organizations such as the Central Organizing Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Nguyen Hoang Education Group.

Dr. Ho Thi My Linh has over 15 years of experience in educational management, quality assurance, and international collaboration. She has held several leadership positions at Hoa Sen University and is currently the only Vietnamese member of the NEAS Advisory Council, a prestigious Australian education quality assurance organization. With a strong passion for education, Dr. Linh is dedicated to developing modern training programs that provide Vietnamese students with access to high-quality international curricula and the confidence to thrive in a global environment.

Mr. Phu Truong Thang is the Vice Dean of the Institute of International Education & Global Engagement (IIE&GE) at Hoa Sen University. He has extensive experience in international education management, communication, and partnership development with institutions in the UK, France, and Switzerland. He believes education should nurture both intellect and character, empowering students to learn with purpose and grow as global citizens.

Dr. Edward Hockings currently serves as a Program Director in the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and International Relations from King’s College London and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of the West of Scotland. Additionally, he has 12 years of experience in training and teaching.

Richard Child is the specialist Lecturer for the international BA (Hons) Graphic Design programme between De Montfort University (UK) and Hoa Sen University. With more than twenty years’ experience in art and design education, Richard has driven the development of forward-looking curricula and international education collaborations. Dr. Ian had a successful career in sales management in London before transitioning to higher education after completing his MBA. He led international programs at Aberystwyth University and Swansea University, then joined De Montfort University as Associate Dean for International in 2019, where he also taught Management Skills and was appointed as a Visiting Professor at Beijing City University.

Duncan Hepworth works as Partnership Development Manager within the Global Partnership Unit and is responsible for identifying and developing new Transnational Education Partnerships. Duncan’s geographic area includes Africa, South East and East Asia and the Americas.
Duncan has over 20 years’ experience within the education sector both in the UK and overseas and has been with DMU since December 2017.
Before working at DMU, Duncan has worked in international higher and secondary education recruitment with education institutions and recruitment agents around the world for over five years.
Associate Director of Transnational Education
Neil Hart is the Deputy Director of Transnational Education (TNE) within the Global Partnerships Unit (GPU). He oversees the University’s transnational education activities.
Neil joined De Montfort University (DMU) in 2021 and has worked in Higher Education since 1996, with more than a decade of experience establishing and managing UK-based international partnerships for Staffordshire University and Coventry University.
He has lived and worked in several sub-Saharan African countries, including Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and began his career in education as a volunteer Physics teacher with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) in the Western Region of Ghana.
Neil holds a Doctorate in Engineering and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

The majority of Richard’s research career is focused on the development of thin films for electronic devices such as thin film transistors (TFTs), primarily involving amorphous silicon and hydroxy-oxide zinc.
Richard’s current primary interest lies in the novel development of nano-scale materials, exploring nano-bio interfaces, and directly connecting nano-sized materials/devices with biological systems.

Holly Everley is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Helping to co-ordinating the university’s engagement with transnational education (TNE) and overseas recruitment partnerships, her key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Holly joined DMU in June 2020 and has previously been working with the Partnerships Team within Social Impact and Engagement here at DMU.
Holly graduated from York St John University where she studied BSc (Hons) Psychology. Holly is also a Lean Competency Systems (LCS) practitioner at Level 1b and is certified Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project.

Dr. Phan Vo Minh Thang currently serves as Dean of Economics and Business Faculty at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics and Business in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Additionally, he has 10 years of experience working in software technology centers in various positions such as team leader, department head, and CEO.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Hao currently serves as Dean of Logistics and International Trade at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics Management and International Trade in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the International Business Academy of Scandinavia, Denmark – Malaysia. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience in researching various scientific topics at different levels such as university and institutions.

Mr. Tran Quang Hai currently serves as the Director of the General English Program at the Faculty of Languages and International Culture, Hoa Sen University. Alongside his managerial role, he is also a Research Fellow at the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from Victoria University, Australia, and regularly presents at national and international conferences on linguistics and language teaching. With diverse teaching experience catering to both English majors and non-majors, he has accumulated his expertise from working at various educational institutions.
Global Engagement Officer
Ms. Nhu is responsible for advising and assisting students in selecting, applying for, and preparing for study abroad programs. The role includes providing information about universities and programs abroad, guiding the visa application process, and preparing necessary documents. Additionally, she organizes webinars and events to help students and parents understand study abroad opportunities, as well as supporting students throughout their studies and living experiences overseas.

Ms. Trinh Thanh Mi is an Admissions Consultant at the International Education Institute – Hoa Sen University, responsible for the De Montfort University – HSU Vietnam international joint program.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance – Banking (Hoa Sen University) and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). With foundational experience in the finance sector (Yuanta, Techcombank), Ms. Mi focuses on developing admissions consulting, communications, and partnership activities with high schools and enterprises in the education sector.

She possesses solid hands-on experience in operating digital marketing channels and executing paid advertising campaigns, including professional experience at the e-commerce platform Droppii.
