That was the message shared by Designer Le Thanh Hoa at the Fashion Creation 2025 event, held at Hoa Sen University on the evening of June 29. The 13th annual show featured 17 graduation collections from Fashion Design students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Journey from passion to a professional young designer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the past 13 years, Fashion Creation has been an iconic event at Hoa Sen University (HSU), extending far beyond a thesis defense. More than a performance stage, it has served as a platform for students to showcase their personal identity, modern design thinking, and professional brand-building skills, from initial concepts to marketing strategies and product development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Fashion Creation 2025, 17 students presented 17 collections<\/strong>, including 62 designs<\/strong>. Each collection was the product of six months of hard work<\/strong>, with meticulous attention paid to every stage, from initial ideas and sketches to material selection, sewing techniques, and final product completion. On the catwalk, their designs reflected not only personal perspectives but also bold and creative social messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the collections explored diverse themes, ranging from memories, dreams, and inner emotions to community issues such as urbanization, public safety, and humanity. Many were inspired by cultural traditions, beliefs, and iconic landscapes, from Hue\u2019s countryside market and Thien Hau Pagoda to the mythical city of Atlantis, the desert, and tropical forests. Others drew inspiration from autobiographical elements, classical art, literature, and cinema, featuring influences such as the Kintsugi spirit and the Rococo style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivering the opening speech, MA. Tran Minh Nhut, Director of the Fashion Design Program<\/strong> at HSU, emphasized: \u201cTo create the collections presented tonight, students carried out every step of a professional designer\u2019s process, from developing ideas, researching materials, and creating forms to building personal brands with clear business strategies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collections received high praise from experts and renowned designers, including Mr. Le Thanh Hoa and Adrian Anh Tuan. Mr. Le Thanh Hoa remarked that HSU students had shown remarkable skill in handling materials and applying contemporary fashion trends, and he expressed confidence that they would bring fresh vitality to Vietnamese fashion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impressive collections at Fashion Creation 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fashion Creation 2025 Champion, Mr. Pham Trong Hieu<\/strong>, impressed with \u201cSaigon Shock\u201d, transforming chaotic images of city life, electric wires, damaged signs, and flyers, into daring designs. His work highlighted strong form-making, creative material use, and a powerful black\u2013gray\u2013orange\u2013yellow palette. Through his work, Hieu hoped to convey a warning about the urban living environment and an aspiration for a safer, more civilized Saigon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEmotional Cycle\u201d \u2014 Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Quynh, Second Prize Winner<\/strong>. Inspired by the cycle of time and the changing seasons, the collection captured the full spectrum of human emotions, joy, anger, love, and hate, through a fusion of modern and classic forms. The gradual transition from bright to dark tones, combined with diverse materials, allowed Nhu Quynh to convey the message that emotions were not barriers but a driving force for renewal and harmony with oneself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSilk Painting” – Ms. Nhan Thi Lan, Third Prize Winner<\/strong>. Her collection showcased the meticulous and delicate beauty of Ha Dong silk village, symbolized by \u201csilkworms spinning silk\u201d.  Drawing on her experience as a pattern design and sewing center founder, Lan applied a luxurious, mature style and 2D-3D form-building techniques to her \u201cSilk Painting\u201d project. She viewed this work as a milestone marking her growth and her enduring passion for fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Graduation Milestone Reflecting Enduring Passion for Fashion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before Fashion Creation 2025, on June 28, students presented their projects to an Evaluation Board of HSU lecturers and top designers. Their portfolios included concept research and design sketches to photoshoots, video clips, and full marketing plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Pham Trong Hieu stated: \u201cMy collection focuses on complex form building and material handling, which meant I faced many challenges. Thanks to HSU’s supportive environment, I gained the confidence to complete the journey from idea to finished product, experienced the big stage, and tried my hand at many different roles\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Nhan Thi Lan shared that returning to school at 40 marked a life-changing turning point: \u201cHSU’s modern, internationally standardized program has transformed me from a student with \u201climited\u201d technological skills into a proficient user of fashion design software. It has enabled me to think systematically and apply technology to my design work and business endeavors\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top 4 Best Collections Fashion Creation 2025<\/em><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The maturity of HSU Fashion Design students is the result of a practical training program. The program not only focuses on design techniques but also integrates management<\/strong>, marketing<\/strong>, and brand development<\/strong>. This enables students to launch businesses, confidently build personal brands, and integrate into the international market after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, the program has received AUN-QA accreditation and cooperates with international fashion academies like Mod’Art Paris and Ecole Conte in France. As a result, students learn an international curriculum, develop specialized English skills, and practice a wide variety of design styles, from women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing to high fashion and accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HSU’s reputation for quality training is consistently affirmed by the success of its alumni. According to a June 2025 survey, 100% of HSU Fashion Design students secured jobs upon or before graduation, with many going on to create successful brands like Tu by Catu, Duc Studio, Phuong Ha Design, …<\/p>\n\n\n\n
