“Pursuing the English Language, majoring in English Teaching at Hoa Sen University, has given me special experiences. With a well-organized and detailed curriculum that includes both general knowledge of the language and specialized knowledge of teaching, students can learn and develop their passions in a meaningful way, given opportunities to promote independent thinking, creative spirit, and autonomy in learning. The professionalism and enthusiastic support of experienced lecturers in the industry really gives students an ideal and different learning environment.”MR. “At the Department of English Language, Business Communication major, I had the opportunity to speak English a lot, meet many lecturers who are very passionate about their profession and are dedicated to their students and have cultural exchanges with foreign friends. Moreover, I also learned essential skills such as public speaking and how to write an email in business. The things are tiny, but the lecturers are open to students as much as possible and in scientific research (I like this one most).”MS. TRAN NGOC THUY VY Student in the academic year 2012 – 2016
“Hoa Sen University has many clubs and extracurricular activities related to academics and physical development. During my four years of study, I enjoyed my time doing scientific research. It helps me develop my knowledge of my language, teamwork skills, how to resolve conflicts between members, and how to unify the collective opinion of the whole group. Due to the high level of teamwork, when facing difficulties, even giving up, we still face them together to solve them. That’s what impressed me the most about studying here.”MS. Comments and Shares of lecturers, training support and services, learners, and/or parents of General English Program:
“I would like to share what I like about teaching English at the General English Program. First, the working environment here is very professional and friendly, making me feel comfortable whenever I teach. As for the staff of the academic and teaching department, they are always ready and very enthusiastic to support lecturers and students in everything. In addition, my colleagues in the General English Program are all highly qualified, willing to share their teaching experiences, and always eager to learn and progress. And finally, I am excited every time I go to class because the students are very active, creative, and have a serious learning spirit.”
“Eight years (from 2009 to now) is certainly not a short time to correctly assess an organization. I am happy and fortunate to be working in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences General English Program, Hoa Sen University. Here, I work in a professional educational environment with modern equipment for teaching and learning needs. In addition, I also have the opportunity to interact and learn from international and domestic colleagues. Experienced lecturers are always enthusiastic about supporting and sharing teaching experiences to progress together. The General English Program is not only a place for professional English training for students but also a learning and sharing community among lecturers. I am proud to be a department member and promise to always strive to bring effective and enjoyable learning experiences to generations of students.”
“I was still surprised when I entered the university because the study environment was completely different. I am very timid and passive in communication, not confident when standing in front of crowds. In addition, my foreign language skills are also very modest. However, since taking English courses in the General English Program for the past 8 months, I have noticed that I have gradually improved: I am no longer shy in communicating with friends and lecturers. ; When I speak in front of a crowd, I am more confident, and my presentation ability has improved a lot compared to when I first started school. I am very grateful to the lecturers of the General English Program for their dedication to teaching and creating conditions for me to develop my strengths in learning.”
“I really like the English learning environment at the General English Program. English is inherently one of my strengths in high school. However, the school environment did not create many conditions for him to develop his language ability. When studying in the General English Program, I have many opportunities to use the English I have been learning to communicate with my classmates and lecturers. In addition, classroom activities are also vibrant, such as activities to learn vocabulary and grammar. In addition, I noticed that my writing skills had improved compared to when I first started studying.”
“I find the English learning environment at the General English Program very dynamic. I had studied for the past 1 year and achieved some positive results compared to when I first entered university. Before, even though I had a certain amount of vocabulary, I couldn’t use them in communication. But the lecturers in the subject have created classroom activities that require students to use English more. Since then, my speaking skills have been much better. In addition, I feel more confident when speaking in public thanks to the group and individual presentations in class on certain topics.”
“The learning activities in the General English Program are very diverse, stimulating my eagerness to learn. I find the program “First-year student experience” exciting and valuable. In addition to learning teamwork skills, students also practice flexibility in learning and problem-solving abilities. Besides, acting on different topics has trained me to be creative in education.
