On November 19, 2024, the Chairman of the State Council for Professorship officially recognized Ms. Phung Thai Minh Trang – Dean of the Faculty of Finance – Banking, HSU, as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor of Economics. This achievement marks an important step forward in the academic journey of an educator who has continuously contributed to training, research, and development of the academic community.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impressive achievements of the new Associate Professor in 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Working with Hoa Sen University (HSU) since 2014, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang is a familiar lecturer to students in the Accounting & Finance major. Especially, she has held important management positions at the university, including her appointment as the Head of the Finance and Banking Faculty since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout her academic and professional life, she has achieved a series of impressive milestones: She graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics with a Bachelor of Accounting and from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities with a Bachelor of English Literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011, she completed her Master of Arts in English Teaching at Victoria University (Australia), Master of Business from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Massey University (New Zealand). On November 19, 2024, the Chairman of the State Council of Professors recognized Ms. Minh Trang as meeting the title standards. Associate Professor of Economics<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to teaching and scientific research, she actively participates in community-oriented activities, contributing and sharing about the financial market from an expert perspective through mass media channels such as Vietstock.vn<\/a> and Cafef.vn<\/a>. Furthermore, she is a member of the Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Viet Nam Real Estate Education Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During more than 10 years of university-level teaching, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang has fulfilled the standards and duties of a lecturer, based on the results achieved, including moral qualities, academic integrity, teaching, scientific research, student instructor<\/a>, community-oriented activities, and implementing the philosophy of lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Her work includes 32 published scientific research works<\/strong>, with 10 articles appearing in prestigious international journals<\/strong> such as Economics Letters and the Journal of Consumer Affairs.\u00a0 In addition to her impressive research record, she has guided two Master’s students and co-guided a group that won First Prize at the Eur\u00e9ka 2020 National Student Scientific Research Competition.\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
