Service-learning<\/strong>, or\u00a0\u00a0Community Learning<\/strong>, is one of the most modern education and development methods in the world.\u00a0The special feature of Service-learning courses is that: at least\u00a0\u00a01\/3 of the time of the course (about 15 hours)<\/strong>, students will apply the knowledge and academic skills acquired at Hoa Sen University. in supporting development or serving community needs (\u00a0Service<\/strong>\u00a0) in a specific community (social organizations, orphan villages, start-up businesses…).\u00a0This application of scholarship and service helps students learn from real-life situations, develop skills in planning, implementing plans, interacting positively with people and leading groups (\u00a0Learning<\/strong>\u00a0).\u00a0After that, students will share experiences with lecturers and each other to gain experiences for their future careers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Previously, Hoa Sen University implemented projects in the form of service learning.\u00a0In the upcoming semester 18.1A, the Department of Liberal Education of Hoa Sen University will open 3\u00a0\u00a0Service-learning courses<\/u><\/strong> in Vietnamese<\/em> in the system of mandatory and free electives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Note: The Service-learning course will have 03 community service classes (6th week of semester 18.1A) and 15 community service classes (9th – 13th week of semester 18.1A), specifically: MORNING or SATURDAY AFTERNOON<\/strong> (from 8:00 \u2013 12:00 or 13:00 \u2013 17:00) and SUNDAY<\/strong> (8:00 \u2013 17:00)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the upcoming personal study plan adjustment (June 1 – June 3), you can choose these subjects for semester 18.1A<\/strong>.\u00a0In case\u00a0\u00a0you haven’t<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0done this yet, you can\u00a0\u00a0register directly\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0with us to reserve your spot using the link:\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/bit.ly\/Service-learning-2018<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you have any related questions, you can email the subject coordinator – MSc.
