With ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)<\/strong> emerging as a key criterion for corporate governance and sustainable investment, its influence on business practices and consumer behavior has attracted increasing academic and professional interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To provide a platform for scholarly discussion, research dissemination, and academic networking, the Office of Research Affairs and Science Journal is organizing the seminar “ESG and Window Dressing”, with the participation of leading domestic and international experts and researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing together the latest research and expert perspectives, the seminar will examine the evolving role of ESG in finance, investment, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will explore one of the field’s most pressing questions: Does ESG genuinely create long-term value and encourage sustainable investment and consumption, or can it become merely a superficial commitment?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring the latest research, the seminar will explore how ESG practices intersect with “window dressing”<\/strong>, the strategic adjustment of investment portfolios before reporting periods to create a more positive impression among investors. Beyond investment, the seminar will also share empirical findings on the factors influencing consumer behavior in Viet Nam’s circular economy, providing practical insights for sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topic 1: ESG and Window Dressing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaker: Prof. Nguyen Hoang Nhut<\/strong>, University of Auckland (New Zealand)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on the latest research, he will explore the relationship between ESG and “window dressing” in investment activities, highlighting its implications for corporate governance, investment practices, and financial markets in the pursuit of sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Topic 2: Exploring Consumers’ Intention and Behavior in the Circular Economy: Evidence from Vietnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaker: Dr. <\/strong>Phan Vo Minh Thang<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Business<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on empirical research conducted in Viet Nam, this presentation will examine the factors influencing consumer intentions and behavior in the circular economy, providing evidence-based insights for businesses and policymakers to promote sustainable consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
